Industrial action - schools and nurseries
Strike day announced for Wednesday 1 November

Strike action on Wednesday 1 November will affect all our schools and the majority of our early learning and childcare establishments.
All primary schools, nursery classes within schools and Isobel Mair School will be closed. Our secondary schools will be closed to all S1-S3 pupils.
It is our intention that all S4-S6 pupils will attend school as normal. We are currently in discussion with our secondary head teachers about this, as we need to ensure that the necessary health and safety requirements are met in each school. Individual schools will confirm arrangements with parents in the next few days.
The following family centres will remain open and should operate as normal.

- Hazeldene Family Centre
- McCready Family Centre
- Overlee Family Centre
