Benchmarking
Find out about our improvement process.
Benchmarking is an improvement process that helps organisations understand how they perform in comparison to other relevant organisations and how they can learn from others.
We benchmark our performance to find out how we're performing compared to others, where we are doing better or worse and how we can improve.
Local Government Benchmarking Framework
We're required to report a range of information to show how we're securing best value in relation to a number of corporate management and service performance areas.
Within this benchmarking framework, we're required to report on a range of statutory indicators called the Local Government Benchmarking Framework (LGBF).
LGBF allows councils to work together, to use performance information in a way which will help understand variations, share knowledge, expertise and good practice, with a view to making improvements.
