Social Care Assessments
Find out about the HSCP Supporting People Framework
What is the Supporting People Framework?
The framework is used for all of our social care assessments for both children and adults. It has been drawn up using research and evidence-based practice, and informs how we can support you in a way that is clear and fair.
As of 22nd November 2023, our social care eligibility threshold has been updated to substantial and critical needs at this time.
This means if you are assessed as having 'low' or 'moderate' levels of support needs, we will help you build a support network through community and universal services. We hope that providing early help and community support will help to maintain people's independence and wellbeing.
You can find more about the support that is available in our communities on our Living Well in East Renfrewshire page.
