Local Development Plan - privacy notice
Read the privacy notice for the Local Development Plan (LDP).
Our Local Development Plan (LDP) sets out policies and proposals for the use, development and protection of land within East Renfrewshire. The current plan was adopted on 31st March 2022 and is in the process of being replaced. You can find more details about the LDP process on our ldp3 web page.
1. Legal obligation - the processing is necessary for us to comply with the law
2. Public task - the processing is necessary to perform a task in the public interest or for the official functions, and the task or function has a clear basis in law. The information is needed in order to carry out duties under the Local Government Scotland Act 2003 and Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 as amended by the Planning (Scotland) Act 2019.
For some activities, we may also need to process more limited sensitive personal information about you known as 'special category data'. Where we process special category information it is necessary for reasons of substantial public interest as set out in Article 9 (2) (g) of the GDPR and meets a condition in Part 2 of Schedule 1 of the Data Protection Act 2018.
If you subsequently provide us with information and then do not want us to keep your personal details for this purpose, you will have to withdraw your representation to the LDP.

Your information may also be shared and analysed internally in order to provide management information, inform service delivery reform and similar purposes to meet our duty to achieve best value and continuous service improvement.
The Council is legally obliged to share certain data with other public bodies such as Police, HMRC, CSA, Scottish Courts and the Public Ombudsman and will do so where the law requires this and it will be proportionate.
