School travel plans
Information on how children travel to school and plans to support healthy and sustainable school travel choices.
Each of our schools have their own travel plan, written by school staff as well as police, councillors and the school board.
The plan's include research on each school's individual travel needs and identify any travel problems a school may have.
As well as transport, the plans detail how they hope to:
- improve health
- broaden education
- enhance the environment
- contribute to the community
- challenge social exclusion.
As a result, improvements may cover a range of areas, including physical changes to the space around the school, curriculum work, promotional events and training.
