Staff creating or processing records are appropriately trained and supported.

Introduction

Our Records Management Policy emphasises that, while records are owned by us, all staff have a responsibility for properly managing them.

Compliance

Our Senior Information and Improvement Officer can offer advice on records issues. Guidance on data protection and information security is available from the Business Operations & Partnerships Department.

Regular data protection and information security training is mandatory for all staff, an online records management training module is part of the corporate induction.

Improvement actions and review

Further role-based corporate and departmental records management training will be developed.
