Whitelee outdoor activities

Helpful information on outdoor activities at Whitelee including information on facilities.

The condition of site roads is generally good but can vary throughout the site, with some areas better suited to certain activities than others. Sometimes localised road closures are required during construction, maintenance or forestry activities.

Site tracks close to Whitelee Visitor Centre including Lochgoin Circuit, are generally well suited to most outdoor prams and wheelchairs, although wheelchair users should be mindful of the slope back up to Whitelee Visitor Centre.

The Ardochrig access is heavily used for forestry operations so can deteriorate and may not always be suitable for all users.

Whether walking, cycling, horse riding or taking part in another outdoor pursuit at Whitelee, it's recommended to always plan for changeable weather and go out prepared with suitable walking shoes and wet weather clothing.

There's an on-site visitor centre providing useful help and advice as well as site maps, advice guides, welfare facilities and a cafe. However, there's no on-site toilets when the visitor centre is closed.
